Employment Benefits

G.V. Moore Lumber Co. recognizes the importance of providing a premier benefits package to its employees. We realize that offering this exceptional level of benefits will support the decision to join the winning team at Moore's.

When an employee joins the Company, he/she will be offered the following:

 

Cafeteria Plan
A Section 125 Cafeteria Plan is in place to handle employee contributions to the medical and dental plans on a Pre-Tax basis.

Medical Plan
A comprehensive medical plan provided through Tufts Health Care . The Company contributes approximately 75% of the monthly premium.

Dental Plan
A comprehensive dental plan provided through Assurant Dental. The Company contributes approximately 75% of the monthly premium.

Life Insurance
A term life policy is provided through Hartford Insurance Company. The Company contributes 100% of the monthly premium. The benefit is equal to two times base salary, with a maximum of $100,000.

Optional Life Insurance
Additional life insurance is available at competitive rates through Hartford Insurance Company. Additional term life insurance can be purchased for the employee, as well as his/her spouse and children.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment
An AD&D policy is provided by Hartford Insurance. The benefit is equal to two times base salary, with a maximum of $100,000.

Retirement Plan
The Company provides a 401(k) Retirement Plan that includes a discretionary  employer matching contribution. The Company also provides a discretionary Profit Sharing Plan.

Short-Term Disability
This coverage is provided by Hartford Insurance, and the Company pays 100% of the monthly premium.

Long-Term Disability
This coverage is provided by Hartford Insurance, and the Company pays 100% of the monthly premium.

Flexible Spending Accounts
This pre-tax deduction can help offset most uninsured medical and dental expenses you and your family members incur (i.e. office visit co-payments, prescription co-payments, eye glasses, contact lenses, etc.).

529 plan
This benefit allows you to save for your children’s college education and expenses.

Paid Holidays
Employees are eligible for six (6) paid holidays.

Paid Vacation Time
Employees earn vacation time based on length of service. An employee may earn up to four (4) weeks vacation time .

Paid Sick Time
Employees are eligible for four (4) paid sick days.

Employee Discounts
Discounts are offered to all employees on products purchased from the Company.
